Day 25 #5MWF, Sign
Traveling to Oklahoma to see my father, I saw a sign that said, “Worry is sin in disguise! In Matthew 6:25, “Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Then in verse 31 the same verse repeats and then in verse 34, we read, “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for this day is its own trouble. Dr. David Jeremiah says worry is inconsistent, ineffective, illogical and irreligious. So the sign was not wrong, it’s a sin. We need to trust God. How do we have peace in God? Beloved, the answer is in the verse below and we give our anxiety to God because he cares for us.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
