Unwrapping the Names of Jesus – Day 25
If you are reading this on Christmas day, Beloved, Jesus is Christ the Lord. If you read this a few days after Christmas, Jesus is Christ the Lord. I’ve always been fascinated by how each of us comes by our name. Recently, I met a patient and her daughter, and they both had the same name. Now that is not too uncommon for boys, but it seems to be rare for women.
Mary and Joseph were given the name for baby Jesus. But, as we read the account of Jesus in Luke 2, when He was circumcised, His name was called JESUS.
Also, we read, in Luke 2:11, “ For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
In this chapter, the shepherds praised Jesus; Mary pondered all that happened. As this season is unique, do you need a fresh touch from Jesus?
Will you like the shepherds telling the world around you your testimony?
Will you like Mary to ponder the good news of Jesus Christ the Lord?
Father, thank you for Christ the Lord.
