Focus-Faith Obey Called Unswerving Servant
How many selected a word for the year? Mine is Focus: Faith, Obey, Called, Unswerving, Servant. While working toward retirement I struggle with the concept of not working. After all, I’ve worked since I was in my teens. But the day arrived collecting my last paycheck I walked out of the hospital to my new chapter, life after retirement. The party for my retirement is great. The first week of retirement is one of appointments. You see, we are moving to Oklahoma from California. My husband and I need to FOCUS on the move.
Faith plays a part as I’m not totally sure the plan God has for me. I moving in obedience to a small town where my father lives. I’m called Troy’s daughter and my wish is to help him as long as he needs me. God-given talent as a nurse should come in handy as he has already had two skin tears. Unswerving in my faith, we invest money in our truck to make the trip as we feel this is where we are to live at this time in our retirement. I’m God’s servant looking for a place to serve. We will wait on God to open those doors. Beloved, what about you? What is your progress on your one word for the year of 2017? What area do you serve the Lord?
Lastly, I will claim Romans 12:1-2 when times are hard. I will transform with the renewing of my mind as I read his word, seek him, and walk with him daily. To focus on his good and perfect will for my life, is my goal. What is your goal? What verse will you claim today that would help you in your walk?
