But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. Genesis 13:6
Abram and Lot, uncle and nephew living on the same land equally wealthy in living animals such that the land can no longer support the animals and the shepherds’ bickering daily causing more trouble than it’s worth. Have you ever suffered in a situation causing a break down in support? Perhaps like our family you thought there was support and in reality there was hate and discontent. Abram was smart before it became a war he gave Lot the right to choose which land he wanted. God blesses Abram later changes his name to Abraham. Answered prayers. God gives us support when we need it the most.
