Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
John covers seven miracles: In John 3: 1-11, Jesus turns the water into wine. John 4: 46-54, the healing of the royal official[s son. John 5: 1-18, the healing of the invalid at Bethesda. John 6: 1-14, the feeding of the 5,000. John 6: 16-21, the walking on the sea. John 9: 1-41, sight restored. John 11: 1-44, the raising of Lazarus.
Jesus is the Messiah, in John 1:41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). Additionally, He is the I am.
I am the bread of life. John 6:15
I am the light of the world. John 8:12
I am the gate. John 10: 7,9
I am the good shepherd. John 10: 11,14
I am the resurrection and the life. John 11:25
I am the way, the truth, and the life. John 14;6
I am the true vine. John 15: 1, 5
Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
John 20: 31
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3: 14-17
What a promise! By believing in Jesus you will have life eternal life, a life with Jesus. Eternal life starts now it does not start when we die. Heaven is real, do you have your rese.rvation? Jesus says in John 14: 1-2
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus there is something about that name.
Your parents with much care gave you your name. Our name from God is daughter, saint, beloved, and chosen when we ask Jesus to be our Savior. We have life in his name.
Mother Teresa is given credit for the woman who had a stomach tumor that disappeared and a man who had a brain abscess that woke up from his coma. She is loved and respected, but Jesus is honored and this life verse is important because we must believe in Jesus as Messiah and as God’s son, we must believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Beloved, what miracles have you seen in your life? Are you assured of your salvation?
Life Lesson: We need Jesus as our Savior. Heaven is real, do you have your reservation?
