Linking up with Suzanne Ellers Living Free Thursday.
Have you ever been in a hot air balloon? Life is an adventure. The first time a ferris-wheel ride I fell in love, the freedom in the sky, silly since I am only ten. The pirates at Disneyland singing Yo Ho Ho makes a girl from Dodge City Kansas smile. Moving to California when I am sixteen brings adventure and trauma all mixed into one. The best adventure is the adventure we have with God. In 1995, God gave me the adventure of a life time, I traveled to Israel with Global Missions Fellowship. Then in 1998, I went to Hungary for a Children’s Missions Trip. These were two adventures but in reality everyday with God we have an adventure so let the adventure begin.
Daily God is at work and He invites each one of us to join Him in an adventure He plans. What does it take? A willing heart. The first four letters of willing make up two words will I. Prayerfully consider starting your day in prayer, seeking God’s will for your day. Becky Tirabassi spends an hour a day praying and journaling her prayers, in her journal is a to do section and she writes what she senses God is asking her to do, this becomes her “heavenly marching orders,” she journals her prayers.
A daily quiet time such a good discipline, so is reading the bible, going to church, tithing, all good qualities of a person seeking to follow Jesus. A song by Willie Nelson I used to sing reminds me of a goal I have in my heart.
Jesus keep me from all wrong
I’ll be satisfied as long
As I walk let me walk close to Thee
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walking close to Thee
Let it be dear Lord, let it be
Time for me shall be no more
Guide me gently safely over
To Thy kingdom shores to the shores
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walking close to Thee
Let it be dear Lord, let it be.
Future Glory
For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; Romans 8:24-25
