Our hero of faith is Noah.

Our word of the day is Make. Make is in the Bible 1130 times. There is an actual verse that applies to our hero with the word make. The definition of make is form (something) by putting parts together or combining substances; construct; create.

Scripture

Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. Genesis 6:15.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Hebrews 11:7

And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.

 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japeth. Genesis 5: 29-32

Thoughts

Beloved, Noah comes from the word Noach, Noach means rest, repose. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord is the verse in the Bible that places in the hall of faith. 

Noah walked with God and he listened to God.

Let’s remember what was happening in the world. Sin was rampant, read with me this verse in Genesis 6.

And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

God was so upset with man that He was going to destroy man, he was sad that He destroy the world and start over.

Because Noah is so complex, I am going to write about him again tomorrow.

Lessons Learned

For today, the lesson is to listen to God, when His instructions do not make sense, LISTEN to God.

L-Love God

I-Imitate God

S-Sin no more

T-Trust God

E-Embrace God and His Teachings

N-Need God more than the world.

Conclusion

Noah has a message for the world and it is not a popular one. Beloved, how are you doing in following God in this crazy world. Noah is told to make an ark, what is God asking you to make? Perhaps a legacy with your family?

Father God, Noah listened to you and found grace in your eyes. May we find grace in your eyes. Help us navigate this troubled world. In Jesus name, Amen.
