Many miles separate me from my earthly father yet when I call him on the telephone it seems like he is right with me. There is little effort is staying close to him it is a matter of calling him and visiting him when my vacations will allow me the time off. He is a modern-day Moses, he is still serving God by preaching and God is still using him so I guess we really do not get to retire from ministry. Beloved, how are you serving the Lord?
Although distance separates me from my dad, we have instant access to our Abba Father. Do you know that is you do not know how to pray, the Holy Spirit will pray for you?
Future Glory
But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:25-27
When we talk with family and friend we may not share everything, but we can tell God anything. King David gives many examples of this in the Psalms. Jesus in the temple was angry and drove out the money changers.
Jesus Cleanses the Temple
And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER’; but you are making it a ROBBERS’ DEN.”… Matthew 21:12-13
Beloved just as I make talking to my dad a priority, make a priority to talking to God. This is what God whispered to me this week. Beloved, if you are mad at God, he knows, come back to Him. If you have not made a quiet time a priority confess, start with five minutes, just do it. If you have never written a letter to God, try it, you might like it. If you need to forgive someone say these words, Lord I chose to forgive______for _______and it made me feel_______ forgiveness is so important.
Father God, thank you for earthly father who always encourages me to love you. Lord thank you for loving me and always being there for me. Lord I pray for my sister in Christ that is reading this prayer right now that is hurting, meet her needs. I remember the time I needed toothpaste and it came in the mail. I remember the time we needed groceries and a gift certificate came for $150.oo. Lord, I pray for that mustard seed of faith to be planted to increase my sister’s faith so that she will know that all things work together for those who love Jesus Christ. Lord, clarify a place of service for the person searching. Lord I pray if someone is reading this does not know you that they will call on your name to be saved. I love you, Lord. In Jesus name. Amen.
