28 Days of Loving God -Day 2
Beloved, “the divine love of God turns ordinary acts into extraordinary service.”
Ordinary is in the Bible eight times. One such verse is in Acts,
“At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared for by his family. Acts 7:20
If I were unpacking this verse, I would say that Moses was no ordinary child. Beloved, each one of us is unique. We are extraordinary.
Moses’s parents saw that their child was exceptional.
By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. Hebrews 11:23.
Each one of you is extraordinary. You are loved with everlasting love. So, likewise, our loving God loves us with an everlasting love.
The Lord appeared to us in the past,[a] saying:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3.
This is the truth about God.
He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, Psalm 144:2.
Father God, thank you for being a loving father and loving us. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
What ordinary act can you do today for God?
