Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Psalm 37:7
Riding amusement rides are fun or if one is afraid of heights, it’s frightening. I happen to love a ferris wheel and riding one with my friend a few years ago at our local fair brings back memories. At first, while we were on the ride, it was slowly taking on passengers the view breathtaking overlooking the ocean, then the wheel picked up speed and left my stomach feeling some uncertainty.
Psalm 37:1 shares that we are not to worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. It’s hard to see when evil is rewarded and people get away with evil things. But God says that like grass, they will soon fade away. The advice is to trust in the Lord and do good. By trusting and doing good in verse three we will live safely in the land and will prosper.
I love the promise of Psalm 37:4, “Take delight in the Lord and he will give you your heart’s desires.”
In verse 5, we are to commit everything we do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. Beloved, what does that look like to commit everything we do to the Lord, to trust him? He promises to help us.
There’s a great song, Just Give Me Jesus. In the morning when we rise, just commit your day to him and everything you do. There’s no room for worry we need to trust in the Lord and do good. My motto, just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and trust. We can’t worry about others and evil schemes.

Be still and know I am God. Psalm 46:10
We had fun, my friend and I lost our breath that day on the ride on the ferris wheel, will you take delight in the Lord today? Beloved, don’t worry about the evil schemes of others just concentrate on your relationship with Jesus. Be accountable to Him and perhaps a friend. Blessings.
What are the things you are worrying about?
Who might you ask to be an accountability partner?
What do you need to do today to commit to the Lord?
