Today I see a specialist who gives me a test that involves checking the peripheral vision of my eyes. I’m blind in my left eye except for peripheral vision. This test has a person look at a light and then shines lights in the periphery. A person must not let your eye wander.
How do we walk in the light? Jesus is the light, his blood cleanses us from all of our sins. Once we accept Jesus as our Savior we need to be bold in our faith.
Today I saying, “Keep looking at the Light,” to pass the test, However, I feel this is what we need to do to walk in the light. We need to keep looking at the light. Walking in the light is easier when we are daily in God’s word, listening to sermon’s on the radio, listening to praise music, reading devotions, applying God’s word.
Are you applying God’s word by being kind to your neighbor, are you going to vote, are you ready to give a testimony for the reason for the joy of your hope. Do you help you neighbors?
Beloved, the verse says if we walk in the light? Psalm 27:1 Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid? Why would we not walk in the light?
I will know the results of my eye exam soon and it went really well, I kept repeating, “keep your eyes on the light” maybe our saying should be “keep our eyes on Christ, He is our light in this dark world.”
Life Lesson: Keep your eyes on the light of Jesus.
Song: Turn your eyes upon Jesus
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free:
Look full in His wonderful face;
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are!
Look full in His wonderful face;
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
