Read Romans 5:1
As a child of eleven, I had a strong sense of right and wrong. So when I heard the gospel message at camp about Jesus, I asked Jesus to be my Savior. Growing up a Christian, learning Bible verses many from the Roman roadway to be able to share the gospel message, I learned the meaning of justified.
Justified is just as if I have never sinned. In the Who I am in Christ Statements, I Am Justified is a statement about our place in the Lord. He sees us through the blood of Jesus. In Romans 3: 23-34, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” then in Romans 5:1 God’s word says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” We are justified through our faith and we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus.
Abraham was justified by works/faith because he looked forward to promise of Christ in Romans 4:2. Galatians 3:24 says the law was our guardian we are justified by faith. Then in Galatians 5:4, says, “For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.
What might you need to be justified? Is there some unconfessed sins perhaps you are having an emotional affair online with a Facebook friend that you have rekindled your relationship from high school, or maybe an actual affair. Beloved, neither of these relationship will fulfill you. God is the only one that fill your God vacuüm.
Repent, confess, end the relationship, God will heal your heart. 1 John 1:9 applies here. Truly, God will forgive our sins whether it is lust, or gluttony, or telling lies. Maybe you have an anger management problem or gossip.
Beloved, will you spend sometime before the Lord ask him to clean the rooms of your heart so that you are justified. Just as if you had never sinned.
Daily Challenge: Write a thank you letter to God for forgiving you of your sins.
Father God: Thank you for forgiving us of all of our sins. Thank you for sending Jesus the perfect lamb that while we were still sinners he died for us. Romans 5:8 says, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
