Prayer
Father God, just as Ruth worked hard to provide for herself and for Naomi, let me remember where my blessings come from and that You are at work around us. Let me recognize blessings and look for ways to bless others. Father God, what work have You prepared for me? I ask for each person that is reading this You first meet their needs and that they do what is necessary to experience Your blessings. In Jesus name, Amen.
Conclusion
Boaz told his servants to leave wheat and barley in the fields for Ruth to glean, as we watch Boaz provide for Ruth we see his love for her. She must have been beautiful out in the field as she worked from morning until night. I remember when I was first dating my husband how I looked forward to every date. Even when we sold raffle tickets for his mom. What is your fondest memory of young love?
The amount of barley was quite a bit showing how much Boaz cared for her.
How do you show your love for others?
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing” (Psalm 34:10, KJV).
