S At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws. I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts. The earth is filled with your love, Lord, teach me your decrees.
O Precepts, decrees, and laws are words for God’s Word. Praising God for God’s word can happen at any time even at midnight. God’s word is righteous, God is love. God teaches us His word. God is our friend when we revere him and follow his commands.
A Do you revere and fear God? Do you follow God’s word? Do you love the Lord? Do you love God’s word? Are you thankful for God’s word even when you can’t sleep? Do you praise God for His righteous law? Are you filled with the love of God? Are you willing to let the Lord teach you His word? Do you memorize God’s word.
P Father God, I stand in awe of your word, your law. You are righteous. Lord I respect you and your word. Help me to follow your word daily, fill me with your love, teach me your word. Help me to memorize your word. Lord when I am anxious and can’t sleep let me think on your word and give you thanks. You are the only legitimate fear object in my life. You did not give me a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind. Fill me with your love, fill my sisters with your love, fill the world with your love. Enable me to memorize and understand your word. In Jesus Name
