Five-Minute Friday a time to write on a word for five minutes. This week’s word is intentional.
The year is 1999 and I am a nursing supervisor for a home health company. I loved my job and my boss, however, she left the company and a new director was hired. The new director and I never really meshed. Beloved, have you ever had a time in your life when things changed and you had to keep putting one foot in front of the other? At this time, I was lacking three units on my bachelor’s degree in nursing. One day, I received a telephone call and accepted an interview, I became intentional and accepted the job offer. Shortly I resigned from one company and became a Director of Nurses but I needed my bachelor’s degree in order to have the job. So I became intentional and returned to school for the degree.
Beloved, when have you been intentional?
God wants us to be intentional. He gave us his word to read, and the ability to communicate with him through prayer. However, one must do these things.
I-Intimacy with God
N- New mercies every morning
T- Trust in God
E- Encouragement daily
N- Nearness to God
T- Truth from God’s word
Father God, help me to be intentional in my daily walk. Give me the desire to read your word, pray and memorize your word. I ask that I be an example to others. In Jesus name, Amen
Beloved, what is God asking you to be intentional about?
