Truth
God’s Attributes
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John:32
Josh McDowell is a man who did not believe in God. He decided to prove that God did not exist by examining the evidence. He examined the evidence and the evidence led him to the truth of God. He wrote, “Evidence That Demands A Verdict” and he became a believer. He is a great teacher and speaker. I have heard him many times.
Below is a part from “Attributes of God.” by Josh McDowell.
Because God is absolute truth…
I will believe what He says and live accordingly.
“You are truly My disciples if you keep obeying My teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31,32)
- believers know that God is true (John 3:33)
- eternal life is knowing the only true God (John 17:3)
- even if all humanity lies, God remains true (Rom. 3:4)
- God is the Truth (John 14:6)
- God follows through on His promises (Num. 11:22-23; 31-34)
- God’s words are true and completely righteous (Ps. 19:9)
- God’s truth is everlasting (Ps. 117:2)
- God’s word is truth (John 17:17)
- God’s words are faithful and true (Rev. 21:5; 22:6)
- God’s truth can be suppressed to our peril (Rom. 1: 1 8ff)
- ??He is “the God of truth” (Ps. 31:5; Isa. 65:16)
- God doesn’t lie but keeps His word (Num. 23:19)
- He is full of grace and truth (John 1:14)
- His Spirit guides believers into all truth (John 16:13)
- the Holy Spirit is characterized by truth in every way (John 14:17; 15:26; 1 John 5:6)
- true freedom comes from abiding in God’s truth (John 8:31-32)
Beloved, God is truth. He is trustworthy. Do you believe this? When we know the truth of God, His truth sets us free, free from condemnation, free from worry, free from pain. God sent us the Holy Spirit who testifies God is true. Do you know how the treasury finds counterfeit money? By studying real money. If we know God as truth we will recognize the lies of the enemy. We need to study God’s word, the truth. We need to know who we are in Christ.
What truth do you believe? Are you abiding daily in God’s truth? What promise are you claiming to remind you that God is Truth?
Father God, You are truth, I ask that each day we acknowledge that You are truth. God you are full of grace and truth. Your word speaks the truth. You are faithful and true. Today Lord let me walk in your truth. Father God, We Believe.

April 26, 2015 at 10:34 amI have never heard Josh McDowell, but Lee Strobel is another man that was an atheist and converted to Christ after he couldn’t prove God didn’t exist. My boss and my son saw him at an event last month and said he has an awesome testimony. 🙂 I love the list of verses on truth! Thank you Diana!

Ephesians 1: 7-14He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 8He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
9God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. 10And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. 11Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
12God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. 13And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. 14The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.
God choose you and me before we ever knew it.
Remember
When your life seems chaotic, rest in this truth: Jesus is Lord, and God is in control. God’s purpose to save you cannot be thwarted, no matter what evil Satan may bring. The Holy Spirit is God’s guarantee that we belong to him and that he will do what he has promised. The Holy Spirit in us demonstrates the genuineness of our faith, proves that we are God’s children. His power works in us to transform us now, and what we experience now is a taste of the total change we will experience in eternity.
Oh how he loves me, Oh how he love YOU and ME!!!
I want to add, Thank you Heavenly Father for the peace that I endured today by staying faithful to you in giving you all my worries and hurting heart. Your peace brought me great confidence today and I accomplished so much. In my physical surroundings and in my heart. I love you Lord Jesus!
Amen

May 20, 2015 at 5:47 amHe is the Truth! I was so nervous and scared about my testing, but this morning as I was preparing to leave, I felt peace come over me. He reminded me that people were praying for me, and that He would be right there by my side. Thank you Father God for Your truths! 🙂 ♡
