Tuesday at Ten-Ready

NumberOurDays.psalm90

The word on Tuesday at Ten was ready. However, it is Saturday at 10:30 and I am finally ready to write but the computer has a blank screen.  I am using my tablet and typing with one finger because I am alReady late for Tuesday at Ten.

In Exodus chapter 3, Moses was in the desert when he encountered the burning bush. Moses was married and working for his father in law Jethro tending his sheep. He was a shepherd leading a flock of sheep. He led them from the far side of the desert to Horeb, the  mountain of God. Can you imagine with me, the sky is filled with billowing clouds,  the air is filled with the scent of the blooming flowers and bushes that grow in the desert. Then suddenly he sees a bush that is on fire but the bush is not burning up. Guess what the angel of the Lord was in that bush, Moses curiosity drew him toward the bush. Exodus 3:4  say that when the Lord saw Moses drawing near the bush, God called him by name. In the Message Bible, Moses replys, “Yes, I am right here!”  I  do know about you but seing a burning bush that does not burn up and the fire does not spread and then to hear the bush speak. I would have been trembling with fear. This was Moses time. He needs readiness.

Do you think that perhaps Moses was filled with fear? Fear paralyzes us but as Moses was standing on holy ground with a Holy God speaking to him answering his doubts that seemed like excuses, Moses finally accepts the challenge with his brothers help he returns to Egypt.  He was Ready.

Are you ready? GOD met Moses where he was, GOD answered Moses’ questions. GOD prepared and used Moses. Moses was Ready.

In Psalm 90, Moses is called a man of God. Moses wrote this Psalm. He teaches us to number our days right in this Psalm. The way we can number our days right is to be ready to serve God each day. Will you join me?
