Unpacking 31 Verses to Live By -Day 28
Beloved, have you ever chosen a life verse. A life verse guides you, that you memorize, comfort you in times of trouble. This verse is my life verse, and I discovered it back when I was in Bible Study Fellowship in the 1980s.
Let’s unpack it. The Lord is good. Yes, He is good. He is good all the time, and all the time, He is good. Regardless of your circumstances, God is good.
God is a refuge. The refuge is in the Bible 98 times. We can count on God as the bottom line. We do not have to seek help from anyone else. He is our strength.
He cares for those who trust in Him. The prophet Naham had it right. However, God cares for everyone and does not want anyone to perish. That is why He sent His one and only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17. NIV.
Father God, You are our refuge, our strength, and our stronghold. In Jesus’s name amen.
