Unwrapping the Names of Jesus -Day 31

Beloved, this is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. As we unwrap the last name of Jesus, Jesus is the Radiance of God’s Glory. The first time I read this verse, I was in Bible Study Fellowship. I remember being struck by the verse saying that Jesus radiates God’s glory and expresses the character of God. Jesus sustains everything by the mighty power of His command–His essence–His being.

I am a bit sad writing this last tidbit on this name for Jesus.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3. NIV.

We have unwrapped the names of Jesus this month, and I hope you have grown closer to God. He says that if we draw close to God, He will draw near us. As I bring this to a close, I would like to thank Barbie Swihart for making my images. Also, I would like to thank Karen for always encouraging me to keep pursuing my writing.

Each one of us witnesses the radiance of the sun. Next time the clouds reflect the glory of God, think of this verse.

Jesus is the very essence of God. So, although tonight is New Year’s Eve, and many will celebrate the end of 2021 with family and friends, I want you to know that I pray that the radiance of Christ will carry you through the following year.

What are your goals for the new year?

Father God, bless each person reading this post. May we do all that we do to honor you. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
