Have you ever struggled wanting vindication yet you know that will never happen? I have had this occur a couple of times in my life. With both incidents what I really wanted was approval, the approval that I already had from God and would never get from those involved.
God gave us his son so a gift of vindication. The verse from Psalm 35:24 says to vindicate in God’s righteousness. Sanctification and justification because of God’s gift to us. I felt like the psalmist I did not want the person to gloat over me. However, I had no control over this, and the gloat if it happens it happens.
There are more verses that declare God as he vindicates us;
Psalm 7:8 The LORD judges the nations. Declare me righteous, O LORD, for I am innocent, O Most High!
Psalm 135:14 For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.
Psalm 138: 8 The LORD will vindicate me; your love, LORD, endures forever– do not abandon the works of your hands.
Beloved, God vindicate us even when wronged in a situation. The best thing to do is to let go and let God.
Father God, thank you for vindicating us from the situation where we wrongfully accused and I let go of my need for his approval and I seek only your approval. I chose to forgive him for the remembered pain I am feeling right now and I asked that you bless him because you are the only fair judge. In Jesus Name. Amen
