Tuesday at Ten
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.… 1 Corinthians 13: 10-12
When I accepted the Lord at camp, a child of eleven full of trust and wonder.
When I heard the call of God to serve as a missionary, a child of twelve full of excitement and hope.
When I became a young woman, rushing ahead God still blesses me.
When I married at eighteen, truly naïve unprepared for the world trusting God just the same.
When I delivered my first child, understanding now love that is unconditional.
When I struggled illness, identity, marriage concerns, learning how to pray who am I? who will I become?
When I graduated from nursing school, praying daily for wisdom and courage to make the best decisions.
When I served the Lord in Israel in 1995, answering the call as a missionary.
When I served in the various roles over the years, believing I am his beloved child worthy of wisdom and knowledge.
When I write today, hoping that I answer His call of service that my writing points to Him giving hope to all.
When I think of God I only want to live to serve Him.
Beloved, Valentine’s Day is today. A day of love. Love with a perfect love. God loves us, He sent his son so that we have eternal life. What a perfect gift! John 3:16
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
