When The Whole World Is Laughing But You!

“Only when I started to understand what depression does to us spiritually, as well as what it can not do, and then started cooperating with God did I finally begin to experience the chains of depression falling off.” Dr. Michelle Bengtson pens these words offering help to this writer.

Depression has been a part of my life most of my adult life.This time of year is particularly difficult. The days are shorter, colder and darker. I had a time when the tears would not stop. I love the scripture that God catches our tears as it reassured me he cared for me. Dr. Bengtson in this short chapter writes,

“Dark journey affects physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Traditional treatment did not address spiritual side of depression.”

“Not until I realized how depression is perpetuated on a spiritual level and addressed the spiritual issues did I start to walk out of the valley.

“The enemy of our soul thrives on keeping us in darkness and unable to live in the fullness God created us to be.”

Beloved, Hope Prevails offers hope, there is a prescription at the end of each chapter. Also, music playlist to listen because when we praise God we are less likely to be so sad. Father God, thank you for this book and for the Bible Study. Thank you that Satan has no authority over us. Thank you that we do not have to submit to him. Lord, for the person, has a disability profound sadness would you lift that sadness. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
