2015 is but a memory, a few more days of the year. What are your fondest memories of New Year’s Eve? Mine involve my mom. She made every holiday special. She would let us stay up on New Year’s Eve and play Monopoly just waiting for midnight. We would have apple cider in fancy champagne glasses. Of course, plenty of candy and snacks. We each had friends, confetti to throw.
Do you make resolutions? I usually break resolutions. I read the number of the top three broken resolutions are going to the gym, losing weight and quitting smoking. Another popular trend is choosing a word to shape your walk and mine several years ago was ‘Thrive’. That word was good for me as it shaped my adventure towards my weight loss journey. As you know, I have been successful at my weight loss journey and for three years, I have maintained over a hundred pound weight loss. What might your word be this year joy, faithful, grace, trust, hope, or mercy? I have not chosen a word this year or made a resolution.
The Whispers I am hearing from God are to draw near to me and I will draw near to you.
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. Psalm 73:28

Beloved my prayer for each of you is Romans 15:13 To grow closer to God.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
