The word is YES
I’m trading my sorrows
I’m trading my shame
I’m laying them down for the joy of the lordI’m trading my sickness
I’m trading my pain
I’m laying it down for the joy of the lordWe say yes lord yes lord yes yes lord
Yes lord yes lord yes yes lord
Yes lord yes lord yes yes lord amenI’m pressed but not crushed persecuted but not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I am blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure
That his joy’s gonna be my strength
Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning
When I was a young teenager, I was always seeking a yes answer from my mom and dad.
“Mom, may I go to the skating rink with Patti?”
She would say, “Go ask your dad.”
Running to find dad, “Dad, may I go skating with Patti?”
He would say, “What did your mother say?”
I would reply, “She said to ask you.” Impatiently waiting would I hear a Yes! When I was seventeen, I would say to my mom, “Mom, Dad said if it is okay with you I may go skating.” and to my dad I would say, “Dad, Mom said it is okay for me to go skating if it is okay with you.” So I figured out really quickly how to get phera Yes answer.
Are you praying to God trying to get a YES answer? God’s will will be consistent with His word. If you are asking to win the lottery, gambling is not consistent with His word. Sometimes, His answer is YES. Or, He may be saying wait, “My grace is sufficient to meet your needs.” Other times, it is NO. What happens when we push for the YES envelope? We may disregard the Holy Spirit small still voice and run ahead of God.
Beloved are you waiting on God? or running ahead of God?
Y-Yield
E-Encouraging
S-Sphere
Are you willing to yield to God and say Yes Lord, Yes, Yes, Yes? Are you encouraging others by doing what God is asking of you ? Are you witnessing to others in your sphere? Remember whether you get a YES, or a no, or a maybe; God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

September 8, 2015 at 3:16 pmDiana, love that you used that camp song. I’m reading in my house; doing the actions as I read them! Oh and so much this: “Sometimes, His answer is YES. Or, He may be saying wait.” I needed that reminder today. Visiting from FMF where I’m parked in the #15 slot.
