“Your Pain Was Not For Nothing”

In Chapter eight, Tracie’s journey continues. What book have your read that rocked your world? The book that changed Tracie’s life was Living Life On Purpose by Lysa TerKeurst.

Tracie shares how Lysa’s words made her face that she was being disobedient to what God was asking her to do, “Go and Share. He called me to obey, and He was ready for me to make a move.”

Tracie said, “I can share with them God’s promises that He is their Redeemer, Promise Keeper, Holy One, Savior, and Father. I know from experience that He forgives without question, loves, heals, and is the ultimate giver of not just life, but abundant life.”

Have you felt that the pain you are suffering is without purpose?

My ministry at church is Freedom in Christ. I became involved in this ministry in 1995  after I found freedom. I discovered that God really loved me. I had made some poor choices and I believed Satan’s lies that I was not worthy of God’s love. Today I know I am God’s child. I am free in Christ.

Tracie writes, “I have seen many escape the shackles of the devil, embrace freedom and wholeness, and learn to experience the inexplicable joy of seeing God faithfully keeping His promises of hope and restoration.”

Dara Gentry shares her story of growing up with spina bifida and being in a wheelchair has not been an easy life. She was hurt by people’s comments. She shares that because of her disability she is able to share God’s love while ever one else is too busy. She encourages others by writing cards.

Tracie said, “A life where we allow Christ to shape us for His glorious purpose. It took me far too long to get to a place of freedom, which is why I hope this book can help you learn to embrace true freedom in Christ.”
