God Always Keeps His Promises
Have you made a promise and then broken the promise?
God is in the promise business! Chapter 3 reviews many of the promises of God that we read in the Bible. Tracie writes, “God proves His Word is serious business, and He means what He says. Yet in today’s broken world, where we never really know whom to trust or what to believe, we often apply this attitude of distrust to God as well, even if subconsciously. When we are constantly bombarded with lies, our ability to truly trust can eventually become shaken. ”
Has someone broken a promise to you?
Have you been betrayed?
Have you felt betrayed by God?
I agree with Tracie we live in a world where the value of a promise is deminished in every way possible. We only have to look at the real estate market to know promises are not kept. We lost our home to faulty loans. What about a friendship that you counted dearly as a blessing only to have the friend not be a friend at all?
Have you ever wondered where God is with all of the bad things happening in the world?

I love on page 43 the review of verses. So why do I question God or have unbelief when we have God’s word. There are promises for healing, experiencing peace, giving rest, hearing our prayers, meeting our needs and giving us a hope and a future.
Charlotte Larsen was sexually molested between the ages of five and eight at the hand of her stepfather. Remembering brought healing. She reaches out to other women who have been abused.
Other insightful statements from Tracie in Chapter 3:

“God is up to something in you, through you, and in your life.”
“Even though we cannot see the bigger picture, we can trust that He always keeps His promises, and we can faithfully believe that God is always in control.”
[Tweet “”Our brokenness can drive our hearts away from the scripture or straight towards them.” Tracie Miles #yourlifestillcounts”]
Your mission today is to read chapter three. Ponder the questions, and share a verse or what was your favorite statement. Tweet one of the tweets.
Father God, renew us today. For the woman who may have been sexually abused will you heal her from the pain and renew her shattered life. For the woman who is struggling to trust in you, reassure her that you know her and that she is fearfully and wonderfully made. For the woman who has fear, let her let go and trust God. Lord your love and promises are so amazing. You are the key to the healing of our damaged emotions. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

January 10, 2015 at 3:15 pmHello my faithful friend. That is one of the things I love about you, that you are so faithful in doing God’s work through your writing. My word for the year is Faithful…I need a lot of help in that department. First of all I love the graphic you made at the top of the page, how in the world did you do that??? Also I tweeted both tweets in your message (how did you make it do that…that’s so cool). Anyway this chapter hit me pretty hard as I have been hurt emotionally and torn down by family members. It’s really made it hard to trust people because of how my own family has treated me. But I do trust God and I know He has a plan in this somewhere. Bless you my friend and stay faithful. You are such an inspiration to me.
