Five minute Friday a time to write for five minutes and then to join amazing writers.
Watching Ellen one day a dad and daughter sang “You Got a Friend in Me.” I haven’t been much of a friend recently. I returned to work on February 27th after having five months off for having my knee replacement and suffering with migraine headaches. Adjusting to working again has been more difficult than I have ever thought it would be, I have literally worked and slept with the necessary things worked in between. I think I am over the initial shock and am feeling like I am able to do more than eat, work and sleep. I am asking for your forgiveness. You do have a friend in me, I think and pray for you. Beloved our ultimate friend is Jesus. What a friend we have in Jesus. He is there for us even if our earthly friends let us down. However, to be a good friend, we need to stay close to Jesus.
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.… John 15: 12-14
