Tracie Miles bases this book on Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” This verse is often quoted when someone is hurting, or suffering. Charles Swindoll recently preached a sermon on this verse. He shared that his son was facing a serious illness and before they knew the outcome, Pastor Swindoll reconciled that God was good even if it meant he lost his son to death. I experience daily headaches, and have other health issues but I know that I know that God uses everything in my life for good. Do you know that you know that God is good?
Some of my favorite quotes from the introduction.
“Only after our willingness to go becomes stronger that our desire to stay in a safe zone, will we see our purpose take shape and true healing penetrates our souls.”
“Only after obeying God’s nudges to move do we feel cleansed and whole again.”

“He lovingly turns our past into purpose.”
“The past is not meant just to be survived and forgotten, but to help us become over-comers who can use our experience to glorify God.”
“You matter to God because He loves you, and He has a plan to use you and your past all along.”
“When we let go of shame, regret, and fear and fully begin to embrace truth, lives are transformed.”

“When our souls find divine purpose, our hearts find true healing.” Tracie Miles

January 5, 2015 at 8:16 pmI just loved the introduction of this book. It really gave me hope and inspiration that God can and will use me despite the chronic pain and suffering I endure on a regular basis. He is the almighty and He has forgiven me for all of my past mistakes that I have confessed to Him. I think this book is really going to be good for me as well as many others.
